I hope your September is going good so far.

Lately, I’ve had conversations with friends, and we’ve concluded that navigating life after university is hard.

It’s not fun, and we’ve constantly felt stuck, with no clear direction on where we’re going.

However, we’ve all intentionally worked on expanding our network and noticed this has helped us receive more guidance, especially in our careers.

When expanding your network, there are THREE key people you need you have:

1. THE ADVOCATE - someone you know and can speak to for advice and ideas. e.g. friends, family, school friends

2. THE INDUSTRY PROFESSIONAL - Someone well-connected in your industry and willing to introduce you to new people. e.g. Teacher, Manager, Alumni (someone who has studied at your school before)

3. THE EXPERT - Someone who can give you more insight into the industry you’re interested in.
